Team Building FAQ’s

Team Building is a great way to get your group working together on a delicious outcome!  Here are some quick FAQ’s on our event standards – please keep in mind that anything is possible and we are willing to work with you to ensure the best possible event for your group.

What is Team Building?

  • Team Building is a way for your group to interact with each other in an informal setting away from the usual work environment.  At Liaison College we do this in our teaching kitchens and the interactive project is a meal that your group prepares by working together under the supervision of our Chef Instructors.

How is the Event Structured?

  • For a typical event, your team will arrive at 6 p.m. and receive an apron, a chef’s hat and a name tag; we supply a light refreshment while the group mingles prior to the start.  The group is welcomed by the Chef Instructor and an overview of the 3-course menu is given.  The group is divided into “teams” and each team is assigned an assistant (a Liaison College student) and a work station.  The teams start their culinary mission.
  • By 8 p.m. the food is ready to eat and the group will be seated in our dining room while their meal is finalized and served.  The event ends approx. 9 p.m.

How do we choose a Menu?

  • In order to assist you have provide 3 delicous menus for you to choose from.  There is flexibility within the menus.    Will will want information about the dynamics of your group:  size, dietary restrictions, preferred dates, themes etc.   All of the necessary information to help us plan your event.  We will then respond to you with a proposal for your consideration and confirm availability of our kitchens on your preferred dates.

When is the event booked and confirmed?

  • Once you have approved the date, menu and costs etc., we will draft a contract for your execution and you will pay a deposit (cash, Visa, MasterCard, cheque) with the balance due on the day of the event

What is the Cost?

  • All inclusive for the 3 course plan as described above is $100. per person (options are extra).

What Size should the group be?

  • It can be anywhere from 6 – 30 people
