Liaison College offers unique chef training programs in two levels. Classes are offered full time (half days) and Part Time (evenings). These programs are suitable for those seeking professional level training. Liaison College culinary programs meet the requirements of the Ministry of Colleges and Universities Apprenticeship Branch. Each level of training is an intensive 300 hour immersion into culinary arts both theoretical and practical. Get more information about our Diploma Programs. Upon successful completion of the program(s) students will earn a Diploma.
For industry professionals, you may qualify for practical exemption. If you are exempt from the practical portion of in-school training, then you are required to complete a 100 hour theory component. This training will enable you to challenge the Red Seal provincial exam (if you have your working hours to qualify).
Next Diploma Programs starting: April 23 for full time and May for part time.
In the Advanced Level of training, students are required to operate the dining room from creating the menu, to planning the recipes, preparing the food and serving! The creative juices definitely flow as students use their culinary skills and art to create masterpieces! In order to fully duplicate a "restaurant" atmosphere, we invite you to join us to share in this unique experience. Guests are delighted with the gourmet 3-course extravaganza that our students present.
